Maître d'- GoosefeatherPosition: Maître d'Location: Tarrytown, NYAbout GoosefeatherLed by James Beard-nominated Chef Dale Talde, Goosefeather offers an unparalleled dining experience that marries the traditional essence of Cantonese cuisine with innovative twists, with a menu that celebrates modern interpretations of Cantonese classics infused with a distinctive Hong Kong flair.Goosefeather represents the inaugural venture of Food Crush Hospitality, a collaborative endeavor spearheaded by Chef Talde and his wife, Agnes.The RoleTheMaître d'is the face of our restaurant, ensuring that all guests receive the highest level of service from the moment they step through our doors. This role requires a professional with exceptional interpersonal skills and a passion for hospitality.Responsibilities Greet guests warmly and ensure a smooth seating process, managing both reservations and walk-in customers. Coordinate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction for Room Service and Pickup orders Handle guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain high standards of customer service. Manage the restaurant’s booking system and maintain an organized record of reservations and guest preferences. Train new front-of-house staff on our standards of service and guest interaction. Supervise the setting of tables and dining areas according to company policy. Develop and maintain relationships with regular guests and VIPs to enhance customer loyalty. Requirements Proven experience as a Maître d', Head Waiter, or similar role in a fine dining restaurant, with at least two years of experience in a leadership role within the hospitality industry. Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a diverse team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Detailed knowledge of dining room service procedures and best practices. Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment. A commitment to delivering a high level of customer service. Familiarity with reservation software Resy or Open Table Flexibility to work during evenings, weekends, and holidays. Goosefeather is an equal opportunity employer.
